About

Meet the illustrator + founder, Jolie

Designer. Artist. Creative. Christian. American.

Introduction From Me To You

As with many, it took years to find what I wanted in a career. I was a lifetime artist and knew a passionate creative was not only a part of me, but a dream job.

"My hope for wheerie Life is to make the world a better place by fighting the practices that seek to destroy it."

I acquired a bachelor's degree in graphic design, leaving with more knowledge but not a clue as to what I wanted. All I knew was that illustration continued to call my name.

And then, an idea blossomed. How about upcycling clothes by putting my designs on them? I could have the freedom to illustrate and design how I wanted.

Passion + talent + freedom = my cup of tea (alongside matcha). With that freedom, I wanted to create an uplifting product + business that gave back.

My hope for wheerie Life illustrations is to make the world a better place by fighting the practices that seek to destroy it. Therefore, much of my inspiration is from nature itself and reflecting on the eternal life Jesus gave me, which makes life worth living. By wearing upcycled and uplifting artwork that makes an eye-catching statement, we can spark conversations of beauty and positivity therefore connecting with our community and planet.

HIGH QUALITY PROMISE

My upcycled garments are either 100% natural fiber or at least a 50% natural fiber blend.

"About 60% of material made into clothing is plastic, which includes polyester, acrylic and nylon textiles...

...Every time they're washed, they shed tiny plastic fibers called microfibers, which are a form of microplastics + tiny pieces up to 5mm in size...

...Laundry releases about half a million tons of microfibers into the ocean every year (~3 billion polyester shirts)." Read more.
